LOS ANGELES — Mathnasium Learning Centers wrapped 2025 with record growth and ambitious plans for 2026, expanding its global presence while targeting key U.S. markets.

The company’s network of learning centers reached 1,256 units worldwide by the year’s end, up from 1,189 at the start of 2025. More than 1,000 learning centers are located in the U.S., with over 100 in Canada and the remainder spread across 10 additional international markets, including a 2025 launch in Romania that is showing strong early results. This growth also fueled an exciting development in terms of gross revenues.

“We had a great year. We sold more awards than at any point in my entire tenure here. We had 95 new territory awards, and we also transacted about 80 transfers, which are resales of existing locations,” said Kevin Shen, chief development officer. “We actually had the highest number of centers generating over $1 million that we’ve ever had. In addition to the U.S., we had a number of million-dollar international centers, including locations in Singapore and the U.K. Overall, it was a great year across the board.

This year, Mathnasium strengthened its franchise network by signing larger professional operators through area developer agreements, bringing in experienced franchise owners committed to growing alongside Mathnasium over the long term.

Looking ahead, Mathnasium will continue expanding in strategic U.S. regions.

“The Northeast remains a priority market for us, from Philadelphia through Boston. California is another focus, particularly Los Angeles and the Inland Empire area. The Midwest also stands out: Chicago, Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati, Ohio,” Shen said. “There are a lot of pockets of potential growth for us.”

With a record-setting year in the rearview and a clear strategy for 2026 growth set, Mathnasium is positioned to further expand its impact, delivering K-12 math education to students around the globe.
