Pirtek is now focusing on cities with a population of at least 500,000. In a city like Memphis, with a population of around 1.3 million, there are many potential customers and opportunities for franchises.&#8220;The key for us is we know Memphis is a great market, but we must find a great franchise partner first,&#8221; Gwyn O&#8217;Kane, vice president of franchise development, told the Memphis Business Journal.The hydraulic hose franchise currently has 98 locations in total with 52 in the United States. The company&#8217;s founding family recently completed a majority buyout for majority control of the American arm of the company.
