<p>Kyle Messmer, 30, originally attended school to be a chiropractor. He attended Southern Oregon University but left to pursue franchising when he realized his heart was in business. </p><div>&#8220;I wanted to have more interaction with different people and do what I knew I&#8217;d be more successful at,&#8221; he said. </div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Messmer is no stranger to the franchise world, as his father&#8217;s been a franchisee for 22 years, primarily working with <a href="http://www.subway.com/subwayroot/default.aspx?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=mooyah-franchisees-kyle-and-bryan-messmer-open-their-second-mooyah-location-in-colorado-1089" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Subway</a>. Messmer also has a history with the sub-sandwich company, and he opened 12 Subway locations in the Portland Metro area since 2006. </div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Mesmmer, along with his brother Bryan Messmer, opened their second <a href="http://www.mooyahfranchise.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=mooyah-franchisees-kyle-and-bryan-messmer-open-their-second-mooyah-location-in-colorado-1089" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">MOOYAH Burgers Fries &amp; Shakes</a> location yesterday in Thornton, Colorado. &nbsp;Their first location opened in Westminster, Colorado last September.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><strong>How did you learn about the brand?</strong></div>  <p style="font-style: normal;">I learned about the brand through a development agent my father met at another restaurant opening. We aim to be more than just a business, but also to be an asset to the people that support us every day. We plan on forming a charity, when we get to that point, that&#8217;s specific to our family.
