This development strategy was first established in the Dallas market, where MOOYAH boasts 24 locations. The brand’s plans call for 20 locations in the Tar Heel State over the next decade.
Ficara, who relocated from Virginia to be the company’s first development agent in North Carolina, is set to open MOOYAH’s flagship location in the Charlotte market in December. From there, Ficara plans to expand next in the competitive Raleigh market.

MOOYAH saw tremendous growth in the last several years, expanding from a Texas brand into an emerging national player and leader in the growing better-burger segment of fast casual. The brand currently has 65 restaurants in 16 states and plans to open 10 more by the end of the year, bringing the system to 75 overall in the United States. In 2015, MOOYAH aims to end the year with 100 restaurants across the country.
