Mosquito Hunters, the rapidly growing outdoor pest control franchise with 140 locations, gives franchisees from all backgrounds the opportunity to join an innovative, growing business in the highly in-demand pest-control industry. And those who already have a history with the brand know all the more how great of an opportunity it is.

Ryan Tecco, for example, started off as a technician with Mosquito Hunters before taking the plunge into ownership. After graduating from college and working in the sales field, Tecco found himself wanting to do something different outside of the corporate world. His uncle, who was an owner with Mosquito Hunters at the time, recruited him for the season as a technician. Eventually, when his uncle was looking to sell, Tecco saw it as the perfect opportunity for himself.

“It was a very seamless process,” said Tecco. Everything that my uncle already had in place was transferred over to me. I spent a week in Chicago for Mosquito Hunters’ training, and I was able to meet the team. They made everything super easy, and I'm very happy to be an owner now.”

Tecco is now the owner of Mosquito Hunters Wayne-Havertown-Malvern in Pennsylvania.

How Tecco’s Experience Benefits Him as an Owner

Having gone from a technician to an owner, Tecco really understands the ins and outs of the business model. One of the biggest benefits of working with the brand prior to ownership is knowing what it means to have great customer service, he says.

“I know what the customer wants in order to be happy and to be satisfied,” said Tecco. “For me, that's very important. Customer satisfaction is something that we pride ourselves on.”

Additionally, Tecco added that he knows exactly how the Mosquito Hunters products work out in the field and what his technicians need in order to be successful.

How Mosquito Hunters Sets Franchisees Up for Success

From training to running the business on a daily basis, Tecco has felt supported by the Mosquito Hunters team.

“Mosquito Hunters gives you all the necessary resources in order to be successful,” said Tecco. “They give the marketing strategy, a franchise coach and 24/7 assistance with everything you need. Whether it's the software or questions about the business, there’s always someone there to help. Other business owners are also super helpful, as well.”

Like Tecco, all new members of the Mosquito Hunters franchise family go through comprehensive pre-opening training at the Chicagoland office. Here, franchisees learn what they need to know about the brand and how to run the business. This includes mosquito control and technician training, hiring and recruiting, financial planning, securing inventory and more.

After the initial training, Tecco noted that he has consistently felt supported by the team at Mosquito Hunters. For example, a dedicated inbound phone sales team provides a huge benefit to owners by fielding customer inquiries, generating quotes and closing new deals, leaving franchisees to work more efficiently for their existing clients.

For other technicians who are thinking about making the move into ownership, Tecco says that they shouldn’t be afraid to go for it.

“Mosquito Hunters gives you every opportunity to be successful, and it's a matter of whether or not you want to put the work in to get there,” he said. “A lot of what you do as a technician plays into being an owner. It's all about creating those relationships with clients and providing that exceptional customer service. Those things all tie in to being an owner, as well. So, if you're thinking about it, and you're serious about it, know that you can be successful.”

The total investment necessary to open a Mosquito Hunters franchise ranges from $89,107-$116,187. The franchise license fee ranges from $30,000 to $40,000. For more information on franchising opportunities with Mosquito Hunters, visit https://mosquitohuntersfranchise.com/.
