Atomic Wings is a well-known brand on the East Coast, and according to CEO Zak Omar, the franchise will soon enjoy that same name-recognition nationwide.

In a recent interview with Forbes, Omar explained why the wing franchise is ready to start expanding its footprint with new franchise locations across the United States. 

Omar and his brother Ray, Atomic Wings' president, took over the brand in 2014 and have gradually grown it into its current franchise model, which includes more than 10 locations, mostly around New York City. 

Now, the brothers are looking to expand their operation, with plans to establish 100 new locations over the next five years. 

And about that ongoing pandemic? Omar isn't too concerned.

“Now is the perfect time to franchise," Omar told Forbes. "Our sales are up 100% because we’ve always been quick-service, take-out and delivery. We’re not inviting people to sit down and watch TV.”
