Philly Pretzel Factory is eyeing DeKalb to open multiple locations as their entrance into the state for development. 
 
"We're looking for a small business owner to be the 'pretzel mayor' of their town," Tom Monaghan, chief development officer of Philly Pretzel Factory, told the Daily Chronicle reporter.
 
Because the job requires selling products wholesale to places like schools, hospitals and nursing homes - the job is best fit for someone who is community-minded.
 
The brand has its sights set on the DeKalb Walmart as a potential spot in the market.
 
"We have 31 in-store locations open already," Tom told the reporter. "It allows us to take advantage of Walmart's existing customer base."
 
The large DeKalb population in addition to being home to Northern Illinois University are both a huge part of the appeal for the brand.
