Wade Brannon started his entrepreneurial journey with Heavenly Hams in 1984, which he acquired and eventually sold to HoneyBaked Ham Co. in 2002. Looking for his next opportunity, he stumbled upon Pigtails & Crewcuts, a family friendly kids' hair salon franchise, almost by accident. He took his son there for a haircut and was impressed by how the staff was specifically trained to work with kids. When the owner of the brand approached him for help with franchising, Brannon jumped at the chance.

“We’ve created this concept to handle the children who don’t enjoy a haircut and put the systems and training in place for our employees and team members to make it a more enjoyable experience,” Brannon told Franchise Times

He acquired Pigtails & Crewcuts in 2004 and focused on improving unit economics and profitability. By prioritizing customer satisfaction and franchisee support, the brand has seen steady growth, adding seven net new units in the previous year. With 80 units across the United States, Pigtails & Crewcuts continues its expansion, seeking franchisees who excel in customer relations to further its success.
