Pocono Record: National eatery targets Sburg for one of first PA franchises
Which Wich Franchise moves into the Keystone State after targeting the East Coast for expansion.
Which Wich has targeted New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania for 2015 expansion opportunities based on the brand’s current booming success on the East Coast.
“We’re targeting for 2015 Pennsylvania as a whole and we have stores in Ohio, Virginia, the Buffalo airport,” Connie Alires, Which Wich director of franchise development, told the Pocono Record. “Now is a good time to put Pennsylvania as a target market.”
The brand has set a precedent by exceeding growth goals year after year. Which Wich is now aiming to surpass their 2014 goal by 20 percent, planning to open 83 new restaurants throughout the U.S. during 2015. The location in Stroudsburg is likely to be the first location to open in Pennsylvania, complete with a mission to make Which Wich a household name throughout the state.
“We’re ready to go through the approval process (with permitting) and open in 2016,” Alires said of the Stroudsburg location. “We had Pennsylvania open (as a market state) but not as a target until now. We wanted to make sure we were ready to be positioned correctly. Right now, the timing is right.”
Which Wich has won a number of awards based on the success of its franchises, and with its current expansion plans underway, the sky is the limit for 2015.
