Birmingham Business Journal: Pool Scouts Featured for Future Birmingham Expansion
The pool maintenance and cleaning franchise is targeting the Birmingham market for new territories.

After experiencing a surge in new business due to the pandemic, Pool Scouts, a pool maintenance and cleaning franchise based in Virginia Beach, spoke with the Birmingham Business Journal regarding its intention to expand into the Birmingham market. Pool Scouts President Michael Wagner told the publication that Birmingham is an attractive market with an opening for five franchise opportunities, specifically in the Mountain Brook, Vestavia Hills, Hoover and Birmingham areas.
"Birmingham is a great market for Pool Scouts," he said. "It has 8,000 target households, and the climate also provides a year-round opportunity for franchise owners."
Wagner also told the Birmingham Business Journal that people are spending more time at their pools than ever, creating an increased demand for Pool Scout’s services. The brand started 2021 with six new franchisees, 17 new territories and has seen an 81.6% increase in year-over-year revenue so far in 2021.
