Pool Scouts Brings First Location to Long Island
Premiere pool service franchise celebrates continued Northeastern expansion by welcoming New York franchisees to the system

There was certainly momentum built for Pool Scouts after closing 2017 with nine new territory signings spanning four different states, and thanks to three Long Island locals, the brand continues along this strong growth trajectory in the first quarter of 2018.
With over 91,000 residential pools, the Long Island DMA has been a priority market for Pool Scouts since the concept’s launch in 2016. The pool repair and maintenance franchise knew that a great opportunity existed in the area and so did business partners John Seery, Bruce Jeager and Mike Pipitone.
“We’re incredibly excited to introduce the premiere pool service concept to New York as the state’s first franchisees,” said Seery. “I have so many friends, family members and acquaintances that aren’t happy with their current services. Pool Scouts is going to change that.”
Seery also owns a landscaping company in Long Island, so he is no stranger to outdoor services and what it takes to make a seasonal business successful. In Seery’s mind, however, Pool Scouts’ product and the franchise model behind it lays incredible groundwork for success, regardless of your background.
“More often than not, homeowners don’t appreciate the companies that provide their pool maintenance because they don’t see a significant difference before and after their service. That will never be the case with Pool Scouts,” said Seery. “We notify the homeowner when our technicians will be there, take before and after pictures of the pool and even come back a few days later to make sure that everything continues to run smoothly. Few other pool service companies offer that kind of service.”
Pool Scouts Director of Franchise Development Timothy Holadia believes that this superior level of customer service is the key reason that the brand has not only grown so quickly but has also led to Pool Scouts’ success in all of its existing markets.
“We built something that can be duplicated in every market in the country with pools,” said Holadia. “By focusing on bringing in good people, using professional attitudes and implementing great systems, we really have found a winning combination as a brand.”
The New York territory is massive according to Holadia, with 91,000 plus residential pools in the area. Due to its sheer size, Pool Scouts can welcome as many as 14 additional franchises to the area – development that Seery, Jeager and Pipitone are excited to celebrate when the time comes.
“We look forward to other Pool Scouts franchisees coming into the area because it will ultimately spread awareness of our brand and drive business,” said Seery. “Once we get up and running this April, we fully expect the brand to dominate the market and grow.”
