Perez was one of millions to lose his job due to coronavirus shutdowns. After months of not knowing what to do or where to go, he found himself diving head first into a new career with Atlanta’s Pool Scouts, a pool cleaning and maintenance company.
Perez was able to get the position through a connection he made while working in the restaurant marketing space, a job he had before joining Delta.
According to The Neighbor, Perez started working at Pool Scouts as their North Atlanta territory manager just over a month ago, introducing a whole new career for the former Delta Airlines employee.
“All pool skills are learnable, but what it comes down to is providing the service and caring about the service you provide for are the most important thing,” Perez told The Neighbor. “Not everyone cares for our customers as much as we do.”
