The Virginian-Pilot: Pool Scouts Featured for Partnership With Hope Floats
The pool maintenance franchise recently partnered with Hope Floats to provide free swim lessons to underprivileged children in the Virginia Beach area.
Pool Scouts, a Virginia Beach-based pool maintenance franchise, was featured in The Virginian-Pilot for donating a percentage of every cleaning service in the month of May to Hope Floats Foundation, a nonprofit organization that partners with swim schools to provide swimming lesson scholarships for children living in poverty. Twelve of Pool Scouts’ franchisees raised $16,630, the equivalent of 800 swimming lessons.
“The franchisees can see the effects at a local level of the money that they’re giving,” Pool Scouts President Michael Wagner said. “We’re looking forward to doing a lot more next year with a lot more franchisees.”
Pool Scouts became acquainted with Hope Floats through British Swim School, a fellow Buzz Franchise Brand.
