Diane Carson first joined Right at Home* in January 2009, and she has been providing in-home companionship and personal care and assistance to others ever since.

After being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2002, Carson learned how important it is to care for people who are hurting. Now cancer free, she returns that level of comfort and security to her clients in the Modesto, California area.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the recognition serves as a good time for entrepreneurs to consider opportunities to combine the wealth of a small business ownership with the wealth support they can offer others.

"In relationship to the business, I am able to give comfort to people who are going through cancer, and they see hope in the outcome for their cancer," she told Entrepreneur,

In regard to her experience with the in-home healthcare franchise, Cason said Right at Home a good match. "We liked the things Right at Home offered and the 'no-pressure' approach to the purchase. They wanted to make sure we were confident that this was the right thing to do."
