After 28 Years of Caregiving, This Registered Nurse Became a Franchisee
The husband-and-wife team combine life experience and professional expertise in their franchising endeavor.

After 25 years of marriage, it was time for Rob and Sandy Chester to forge a partnership of a different kind—one in business. Using both Rob and Sandy Chester’s expertise from working in the insurance industry and as a registered nurse, respectively, the couple chose to open a Right at Home to serve the elderly in their community.
Opening their first location three years ago in Pennsylvania, the business duo has recently expanded into a second territory in Maryland.
“Franchising is great because you don’t have to start from scratch,” Rob told Entrepreneur. “You get a support system, and there is already an established and successful business model laid out for you to follow.”
Although it can be difficult to find qualified caregivers, the couple enjoys owning Right at Home locations because they like to give back to the community.
“Right at Home really aligned very well with our life experiences,” Rob said. “We felt that we had the right background and passions to do well as Right at Home franchisees. Not to mention, you are able to give back in your community.”
