In an interview with the Lake County Journal, Grayslake, Illinois Right at Home franchisee Mike Steiner spoke about his dedication to employing veterans as part of his efforts to help improve the lives of seniors in his hometown of Grayslake.

A Navy veteran who excelled in the Navy’s wrestling program during his service, Steiner understands how much veterans have to offer their communities and has made it his mission to employ veterans when possible. “(Veterans are) a known entity,” Steiner told Lake County Journal. “I know the training they’ve been involved with. I know the discipline they’ve learned, their dedication to helping others.”

Through his work with Right at Home, Steiner has helped Grayslake become one of the first officially dementia-friendly communities in Illinois.
