The idea: instead of taking elderly or disabled loved ones away from their homes, Right at Home offers certified nurses to take care of those who need the help all while in the comfort of their own beds and living rooms.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Thomas' daughter, Kirsten McGargill, said she chose Right at Home because both her and her father were reluctant to moving him into a nursing home.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>&#8220;We got to the point where there is some forgetfulness going on, and things like laundry were starting to pile up,&#8221; McGargill <a href="http://www.livewellnebraska.com/health/in-omaha-home-care-business-is-booming/article_38a290f3-5788-5df0-b88f-4e0e36ff6b8b.html?mode=story&utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=omaha-world-herald-right-at-home-brings-premium-senior-care-to-its-clients-3539" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">told the Omaha World-Herald</a>. &#8220;We visited a facility in Omaha and he said he just wasn&#8217;t ready for it.&#8221;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Right at Home produced roughly $410 million in revenue in 2015, and expects to hit the $1 billion mark within the next five to seven years, according to company&#8217;s founder and executive chairman Allen Hager.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>&#8220;Our volume keeps going up, but our growth rate is slowing down because of our large scale,&#8221; Hager said.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Studies out of Harvard Medical School have been backing the service Right at Home offers.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>&#8220;Hospital case managers and discharge offices have always seen the value of what we do,&#8221; said Right at Home President Brian Petranick. &#8220;Now others are seeing us as a viable solution, too.&#8221;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Others like McGargill, for instance. She has the peace of mind knowing her father is being cared for, looked after, in his own home.
