LAFAYETTE, CO — Seniors Helping Seniors® is proud to announce that Lynn Quintana has been named Caregiver of the Year 2025. A professional caregiver for more than three decades, Quintana represents the heart of what caregiving should be — compassionate, intuitive and unwavering in service to others.

Quintana began her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), working in skilled nursing facilities and assisted living communities before joining Seniors Helping Seniors® just one and a half years ago. Far from slowing down, she asked to work at least 20 hours each week and eagerly volunteered for any shift where she was needed.

"Lynn embodies the mission and spirit of Seniors Helping Seniors in every way," said Colleen Elliott, owner of Seniors Helping Seniors® Boulder County. "Her tireless heart, depth of knowledge and profound empathy make her not only a remarkable caregiver, but a mentor, a role model and an irreplaceable part of our care family. We enthusiastically nominate Lynn for Caregiver of the Year — because to us, she already is." 

Since joining Seniors Helping Seniors®, Quintana has thrived in the one-on-one care model, where her gentle and respectful approach has left a positive impact on clients and their families. People often say that when Quintana walks into a room, the stress seems to fade. She has a steady way about her that makes clients and families feel at ease, no matter the situation. Families also point out how careful she is with the little things, especially when helping with personal care, which she always handles with dignity and kindness.

One example involves a client living with Parkinson’s who had a hard time accepting help. Quintana’s calm, steady presence made a difference for him and his family. She was there through early mornings and holidays, making sure he always had someone he trusted by his side. After he passed, his family thanked her at the funeral for the comfort and peace she had given them.

Quintana is also a mentor to her coworkers. Because of her experience, the team often asks her to help train new caregivers and guide them when working with clients who have greater needs. Her support quickly made a difference. New hires felt more prepared, clients got steadier care, and many of her practical tips became common practice. She now helps run Skills Labs for new employees, where her advice and encouragement give them confidence from the start.

Quintana is also a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and is deeply involved in her church community. But despite her full life, she is always willing to pick up last-minute shifts, cover for teammates, or lend a hand without hesitation. 

"She is our “go-to” caregiver for just about everything—and we are so grateful for her," said Elliott.
