<a href="http://sportclipsfranchise.com/1851?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=sport-clips-targeting-northeast-for-next-phase-of-development-3580" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Sport Clips Haircuts</a>, the nation's leading men's and boys' hair care franchise, is expanding in the Northeast. Four investors signed a deal to open 10 locations in Maine and New Hampshire and Sport Clips is actively seeking investors for the rest of the Northeast, primarily focusing on the New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts markets. The group behind the Northeast development is Dennis Guerrette, his brothers Will and Glen, and friend Steve Greenlaw. They opened their first location in Bangor, Maine in July 2015. The four are veterans of the franchise industry, owning and operating several different businesses&#8212;including starting Sun Tan City in 2006. The idea to invest in <a href="http://sportclips.1851franchise.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=sport-clips-targeting-northeast-for-next-phase-of-development-3580" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Sport Clips</a> didn&#8217;t come from their prowess in the business, but actually from Glen&#8217;s son. &#8220;About two years ago we were looking for opportunities to diversify and investigated several franchise concepts. Credit goes to Glen&#8217;s 12 year-old son who went to a Sport Clips in Arizona and declared to his Mom that he would never go anyplace else to get his hair cut,&#8221; Dennis Guerrette said. &#8220;The opportunity to grow and develop a brand that clearly understood its own market differentiation (Championship Haircut Experience for Men and Boys in a Sports-Themed Environment) was intriguing to us.&#8221; The group was responsible for introducing the haircut franchise to Maine for the first time. Dennis serves as the Team Leader for the group, dealing with the day-to-day operations of the business. He said Steve, Will and Glen have other jobs, but still contribute to matters and decisions regarding real estate, marketing and multi-unit development advice. One of the reasons why Dennis and his group decided to invest was because of the support system the franchisor provided. &#8220;Since I have no experience in the haircutting industry, I was impressed how strong the franchise support was from training to coaching to even a National Huddle,&#8221; Dennis said. &#8220;Sport Clips&#8217; strong values, culture and brand sold us on this investment. They truly understand who they are, what they have to offer and how to win in the marketplace.&#8221; Dennis said they are planning on opening new stores in Waterville and Biddeford, Maine in the coming months. The brand is also targeting several other locations in the Northeast for development, including New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts.
