In todays video, I share my tips for conducting an interview during COVID-19.

Here are the safety measures I recommend implementing and communicating before inviting candidates into your restaurant:

  • Remind candidates that if they (or anyone they live or have direct contact with) has COVID-19 symptoms or any other illnesses, it is essential that the candidate contact you and reschedule the interview for another time.
  • Communicate to the candidate to not bring their resume or application with them when they come to the restaurant, explain you already have all of their information online.
  • Explain where the candidate should go when they arrive to the restaurant, and explain you will have hand sanitizer that you need them to immediately use when entering the building and a disposable mask that you will have them wear.
  • Explain that, due to COVID-19, you will remain six feet apart from each other and other staff members while in the restaurant and you will not shake hands.
