Iowa locals decide on business ownership for themselves and acquire Omaha franchise moving location
This past weekend was the business moving weekend of the year, and the Omaha TWO MEN AND A TRUCK was scheduled to handle nearly 100 moves, compared with a summer average of 60 to 70.
“It follows the home sales trend, with lots of sales in the spring,” Tangeman told the Omaha World-Herald. “Kids are out of school, and families seem to prefer to move in the summertime.”
Local owners Tangeman, 31, and Tyler Whalen, 28, grew up in eastern Iowa, graduated from college in Cedar Rapids and started working for the local TWO MEN AND A TRUCK. Two years ago, they decided to go into business ownership themselves and acquired the Omaha franchise location. They now employ 55 people year-round and nearly 100 people during the summer months.
