The Ann Arbor News: Ann Arbor Vets Receive Gift Bags From Charity Partnership
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK teams up with Cheeriodicals to bring hospitalized veterans gifts for the holidays.
According to The Ann Arbor News, on the morning of Friday, November 15th, veterans at the VA of Ann Arbor Healthcare System received surprise gifts. Duffle bags containing blankets, personal supplies and more were handed out to all veterans, kicking off the holiday season on a high note.
The bags came from a partnership between TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, based in Lansing, Michigan and Alabama-based Cheeriodicals, a national corporate team-building and corporate gifting company. Over the past eight years, the companies have donated over 80,000 care packages to children’s hospitals and veterans across North America.
“We’re a business, we realize we can’t do what we do without the sacrifice our veterans make for our freedom,” TWO MEN AND A TRUCK President, Randy Shacka said. “It’s really just a simple form of gratitude, to say thank you.”
The bags contain an embroidered blanket with a message thanking them for their service, a tumbler, personal supplies and puzzle books to help pass time in the hospital.
