Michael Lacey and Mike Lalley crossed paths when expanding their franchises in similar markets. Lacey now controls the Dayton, Ohio market while Lalley manages the Cincinnati, Ohio market but this comes after a swap in territories. The big exchange was a mutually beneficial agreement. Lacey tells the Franchise Times“Our goal was not to just increase the brand awareness, but to capitalize on it by serving more customers.” 
 
In an effort to expand their reach, both franchisees received full support from corporate who believed their rationale made sense. Lacey explained the rationale for the change to the Franchise Times: “spreading the offices out to better represent the territory, reducing travel times, easing marketing expenses and charitable efforts, while also increasing customer visibility.” Both Two Men and a Truck franchisees are satisfied with the outcome of the negotiation and encourage individuals eager about a swap, regardless of their company, to consider this option with neighboring franchisees.
