The Times-Herald: TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Movers Help Save Woman Suffering from Heart Attack Symptoms
Damian Gottschall and Carlos Macias dropped what they were doing to help a woman who collapsed.
Damian Gottschall and Carlos Macias, movers with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, were moving a client into the Brookdale Vacaville Lesire Town when one of the residents suffered from heart attack symptoms.
Gottschall is am EMT and volunteer firefighter, and was able to immediately jump into action.
Carolyn Gable saw her friend collapse.
"We were playing bridge and she got up from her chair and I said, 'You better not play any more,'" said Gable.
This is when Carolyn saw her friend fall to the ground.
"At that moment, these two darling young men came in carrying furniture, dropped what they were doing, took over and helped her," Gable continued. "They saw that she was taken care of. It was amazing."
The two rescuers are employed by TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, and were later praised by franchisee, Jaafar Mirlohi.
"I'm very happy and excited but not surprised," he said. "That's the kind of guys we have on our team."
Gottschall said, "We helped out the best we could. She was in the process of vomiting and hunched over. Carlos and I held her so she didn't fall forward. I didn't want her to lose consciousness."
