Utica Observer-Dispatch: Sandwich chain looking to open in Utica-Rome
Which Wich, the national sandwich franchise, to expand in The Empire State.
Which Wich Superior Sandwiches, a restaurant franchise with a customizable approach to ordering, is planning to expand in Utica, New York. The brand is looking to have a location by 2017.
According to the Which Wich Director of Franchise Development, Connie Alires, the brand has been working to expand throughout upstate New York after the proven success of its first location at Buffalo Niagara International Airport. The brand focuses not only on creating quality sandwiches but also on the quality of their service, participating in charitable community events year round, like the Flag Your Bag program and Project PB&J.
“We really look at the people aspect of it,” Alires said. “We really believe that the sandwich can be a vehicle to making the world a better place.”
The potential expansion into Utica is just one more symbol of the Which Wich’s accomplishments. The brand has expanded rapidly since opening in 2003, growing to more than 300 locations across the country. This achievement is largely credited to quality ingredients offered at competitive prices.
