It was really good to meet the other franchisees and put a face to the name and hear a little bit about their story and why they chose to get into the waste removal business. It was great to further build those relationships,” said&nbsp;<a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/wyman-f-bowers-97945455?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=vavia-franchisees-and-corporate-team-enjoy-a-company-fishing-and-networking-trip-2719519" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Wyman Bowers</a>, franchise owner of VaVia territories in Columbia and Charleston, South Carolina.&nbsp;Bowers' favorite part was mingling with the other franchisees and hearing more about their backgrounds. “It's a really diverse group. Some of them still have their day jobs and are doing this part time with a general manager who's running it. And then some of them have multiple businesses, and others this is their primary career,” he added.&nbsp;&nbsp;They had great weather for most of that weekend, Bowers said, and the group went out to an island with a sandbar with thousands of other boats around. He attended with his business partner&nbsp;<a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/clark-mccarthy?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=vavia-franchisees-and-corporate-team-enjoy-a-company-fishing-and-networking-trip-2719519" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Clark McCarthy</a>, and the two have been with VaVia for a year.It’s extremely important for company culture to have events like this where everybody meets face to face, Bowers said.&nbsp;“They're critical. There's so much more that you learn about the holistic part of what we do. We had some really good discussions about marketing and how someone is tackling an issue. Those types of discussions don't really happen unless you've got unstructured time together,” he said.&nbsp;Thompson agreed, saying, “Our company trip was a huge success. We're looking forward to continuing this event as we grow.
