Construction is underway on Aberdeen's first Buffalo Wings & Rings. Franchisees Todd Fetter and Rich Lacher are aiming for an early April opening date.

So why Aberdeen? It all began when experienced Buffalo Wings & Rings franchisee Todd Fetter's son began school in town at NSU. The Fetter's fell in love with Aberdeen, even owning a home there at one time, and were constantly there to watch their son play football, frequently sports bars like Wild Oats and Shenanigans, both of which have closed.

When Todd's son ended up marrying Lacher's daughter, the Lacher's were introduced to buffalo Wings & Rings on a visit to Ohio.

"We always thought there there had to be one (in Aberdeen)," Fetter said. When he asked Lacher to partner, he jumped in.

After three years of planning they finally found the perfect site.

Now, they're turning their focus to supporting the Aberdeen community, local sports teams, and schools.
