Buffalo Wings & Rings Featured on MSNBC
The President and CEO of Buffalo Wings & Rings, Nader Masadeh, appears on MSNBC’s “Born in the USA” series.
The opportunity and hope for the American dream is what drives the passion of many entrepreneurs who come to the U.S., including Buffalo Wings & Rings CEO Nader Masadeh.
Masadeh moved to the U.S. from Jordan and worked his way up to the role of CEO of the rapidly expanding, elevated sports restaurant concept based in Cincinnati. Recently as part of their "Born in the USA" segment, MSNBC's Tamron Hall spoke with Masadeh about the immigration issue, which has been a hot topic of debate during the presidential primary season, as well as how the brand has performed since the recession around 2008.
"We've hired more people, we've invested in elevating our menu, we've invested into having a new brand design for our buildings," Masadeh told MSNBC. "So, we've invested a lot into the company, the people, and our franchisees. We knew it was going to turn around eventually, and when it did we were ready for it and we were ahead of everyone else."
According to the Fiscal Policy Institute, immigrants are 10-15 percent more likely to own their own business in the U.S. and accounted for half of all business ownership growth between 2000 and 2013.
