By serving familiar flavors with a twist, Buffalo Wings & Rings has positioned itself at the forefront of the casual dining experience. Now, just in time for spring and Lent, the brand is introducing even more eclectic flavors to their devoted clientele. Chef Elliot Jablonsky, research and development chef for Buffalo Wings & Rings and a veteran of the restaurant industry, is leading the charge behind the brand’s latest menu innovation.

Buffalo Wings & Rings new limited time offers for Lent include seafood items such as a shrimp, feta and artichoke flatbread or a lemon-pepper tilapia sandwich with fried pickles and sriracha tartar sauce.

“During Lent, especially in the Midwest, we get a lot of movement on seafood, so we thought it would be a smart idea to push a few items of that caliber,” he said. “They are variations on a familiar items because at Buffalo Wings & Rings, the motto is to keep it simple, but interesting.”

The theme of simple but interesting is something Jablonsky always insists upon as he tweaks and enhances the Buffalo Wings & Rings menu. By taking familiar items and putting an interesting spin on them, Buffalo Wings & Rings is able to create an upscale casual concept that today’s consumers are looking for.

“To me, the real core meaning of upscale casual was trying to deliver guests an elevated dining experience in a more casual setting and at an attractive price point,” Jablonsky said. “The trick with this type of menu is to be current and interesting, while cooking with familiar foods.”

Later this spring, Buffalo Wings & Rings will introduce an enhanced “Wings & Rings” campaign, which will feature an onion ring and chicken wing pairing such as a creole curry dry rub onion ring with the brand’s Ragin’ Cajun wing.

Never to be compared with standard wings, Buffalo Wings & Rings is known for their unique mix of sauces and spices. Peach habanero, cool wasabi and fajita tequila lime are just a few flavors that customers can try. Jablonsky said his favorite dish is traditional wings made with a blend of roasted garlic and buffalo sauce with a side of bleu cheese.
