Few brands can say that their development efforts are so successful that territories are selling out. But for Buffalo Wings & Rings, the leading club-level restaurant franchise, that’s exactly the case.

The restaurant franchise is building on its strong business momentum and expanding in its existing territories at record rates. That growth is being fueled by the brand’s multi-unit franchisees—more local business owners are capitalizing on Buffalo Wings & Rings’ franchising opportunity and growing within the brand’s proven system. But these opportunities are going fast.

“We’ve established a very strong presence in our existing communities, and franchisees are taking note. If they want to make the most of our system and grow as business owners, then now is the time to consider expansion,” said Philip Schram, chief development officer for Buffalo Wings & Rings. “We’re incredibly excited to see our multi-unit owners thrive—our main goal as franchisors is to set our team of owners up for success, wherever they open their doors for business.”

Buffalo Wings & Rings has saturated multiple markets across the country. One of those is its hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio—the region is completely sold out. The brand has also sold all of its locations in South Texas and North Dakota, with the Wichita, Kansas market well on its way to being completely saturated as well.

But that doesn’t mean there aren’t numerous opportunities for franchisees—both current and prospective—to grow with the brand. Buffalo Wings & Rings is expanding its target areas in the cities surrounding those sold out markets. In Ohio, the brand is targeting major cities like Dayton, Columbus, Indianapolis, Louisville and Lexington for development. Buffalo Wings & Rings’ Texas development efforts are shifting to San Antonio, Austin and Houston, and the brand will open up more Kansas locations in Kansas City and Topeka.

Those targeted expansion efforts are part of Buffalo Wings & Rings’ strategic expansion efforts—the brand typically grows its business out concentrically from one central location, giving it the opportunity to tap into a region that houses its core customers. That system also enables the restaurant franchise to build strong brand awareness and recognition before opening up new locations for business. And with 70 units across the globe, it’s clear that the brand’s system is working.

“Buffalo Wings & Rings is going to continue expanding not just in these particular cities, but in locations across the country. By welcoming new business owners into our system and giving our current franchisees the opportunity to open up more restaurants, we’ll continue to grow the brand’s leading concept,” Schram said.
