Springfield News-Sun: Cincinnati wing chain eyeing Springfield
Buffalo Wings & Rings is looking to expand in Ohio.

Cincinnati-based Buffalo Wings & Rings is looking to add 15 new locations in the next few years and is eyeing Springfield, Ohio for a potential new site. This will continue to grow the franchise brand’s portfolio.
“Springfield fits the model,” Philip Schram, Buffalo Wings & Rings chief development officer, told the Springfield News-Sun. “It’s the right size, it’s family-focused.”
The national restaurant chain currently has about 45 locations, including Ohio restaurants in Centerville, Piqua, Monroe, Fairfield and Cincinnati. It also has locations as far away as North Dakota, Florida, California and 15 stores in the Middle East. In addition to the Springfield location, Buffalo Wings & Rings expects to have 50 U.S. locations by the end of the year, and 60 by the end of 2016.
“Our number one priority is to continue to grow and increase our presence 100 miles around Cincinnati,” Philip Schram, Buffalo Wings & Rings chief development officer, told the Springfield News-Sun.
As of right now, Buffalo Wings & Rings has not selected a specific location. They hope to have the location open by mid-2017.
