Over the past few years, elevated sports restaurant and bar franchise, Wings and Rings, has embarked on an ambitious development effort, establishing franchise units in new markets across the country, and now in Mexico.  To support that effort and promote organic growth from both existing and new franchisees, Wings and Rings rolled out an inventive program in 2020.  Now, Wings and Rings’ leadership team has announced the incentive will continue through the end of 2022.

The development incentive offers new and existing franchisees substantial discounts on the development of new units, which they can use to improve their initial investment and contribute to the start-up phase of their new G4 prototype store mode.  The new model focus on interior and exterior design improvements, a better foundation to more nimbly serve customers, whether through dine-in, take-out, pick-up via Valet Pick-Up lanes or delivery.

Franchisees who open new locations will have the initial franchise fee — typically $40,000 — waived, along with the first six months of royalties, which is a significant amount.

“Waiving both the franchise fee and six months of royalties is a massive cost-reduction for franchisees,” said Thomas Flaherty, Wings and Rings Chief Development Officer. “We have found that the incentive was so successful in encouraging growth that it really made financial sense to keep offering it as we continue to roll out our G4 model.”  He continued, “It makes sense for growth and it certainly makes sense for Franchisees.”

For Wings and Rings franchise owners who have already taken advantage of the incentive, the benefits go beyond cost savings.

“We were excited to take advantage of an opportunity to grow with a smaller investment than is typically required, but the real advantage was opening the new prototype model and experiencing just how effective it is,” said Shaun Hill, Wings and Rings Franchisee. “We’re able to engage with customers in the way they are most comfortable, without sacrificing the quality of the food and service that our customers expect.”

With the development incentive extended through 2022, the brand has no plans to slow its growth anytime soon.
