WACH-TV: Sumter Mother Loses Over 120 Pounds Amid Pandemic, Credits Keto Diet and Exercise
Whitney Lucas began her weight loss journey right before the pandemic and now hopes to help others in her local community.
In a recent interview with WACH-TV, Whitney Lucas detailed her incredible weight loss transformation as the world marks the one-year anniversary of COVID-19. Lucas, who suffered multiple miscarriages due to her weight, knew that she needed to make a change when she failed to fit on a ride with her son at the fair. Shortly after, she decided to start working out at her local Workout Anytime, training five to six days a week with trainer Robert Wilson.
Workout Anytime, the 24-hour, seven-day-a-week fitness concept with 160+ locations throughout the country, offered her flexibility so she was able to juggle her business, family and fitness journey.
“Even though it was kind of hard starting off, she pushed herself as much as she could through everything,” Wilson told the station. “I was actually pretty impressed with her from the beginning.”
Lucas, now down 120 pounds, is passionate about helping others in the community now. She is currently working at Sumter’s Workout Anytime and is taking classes to become a fitness and nutrition coach.
