Young Ones to Watch: Joy Peabody, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Heyday

Peabody shares insights on networking, marketing and growth opportunities that exist within the franchising industry.

Since opening its first retail location in 2015, Heyday has established itself as an industry leader in personal skin care — and its estheticians have performed more than 225,000 facials across the country. Joy Peabody is the brand’s senior vice president of marketing and has helped Heyday build a business presence in nine of America’s most popular markets.

Now in its sixth year of business, Heyday is poised for growth through franchising. “[We’re] in this exciting moment of truly expanding nationally,” Peabody said.

Peabody has more than 10 years of professional industry experience paired with an MBA from Harvard and high undergraduate honors at the University of Texas. In an interview with 1851, she spoke about her passion for the franchising industry and the enthusiasm that comes from collaborating with entrepreneurial-minded franchisees. “I think what I really love about the industry is that relationships are such an essential part of being successful,” she said.

Other topics included how a franchise model can allow for more direct methods of marketing, and how the industry itself can set people up to leave in impact financially, personally and professionally.
