Young Ones to Watch: Lynlea Rudell, Director of Marketing at Pool Scouts

With a rich history in results-driven advertising and marketing, Rudell shares her expert advice and passions within the franchising industry.

Lynlea Rudell works for the residential swimming pool service Pool Scouts*, providing marketing and advertising expertise with a rich background in both marketing and swimming. She graduated from Louisiana State University with her MBA and has since moved to Virginia, where her tenure with Pool Scouts has grown from the brand’s marketing manager to its full-time director of marketing. With more than 15 years of marketing experience, Rudell has helped establish an emerging brand across several key markets.

“With Pool Scouts specifically, I came on right at a time that it was about to take off,” Rudell said.

She spoke with 1851 about how the franchising industry requires people to be good at developing relationships and how trust with franchisees is paramount in developing a solid operation. Her advice to prospective franchisees and up-and-comers within the field is to be patient. “Give yourself time to learn, and never stop asking questions,” she said.
