There&rsquo;s a lot of &ldquo;what if&rsquo;s&rdquo; here, but the way the market is heading, we can potentially expect to see prices at grocery stores increase. After last week&rsquo;s presidential election, according to <a href="http://money.cnn.com/2016/11/17/investing/supermarkets-kroger-whole-foods-inflation-trump/index.html?iid=hp-stack-dom&utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=cnn-supermarkets-get-trump-bump-food-prices-to-jump-7806" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration:none;" target="_blank">CNN</a>, stocks for major grocery stores increased significantly. 

&ldquo;So what does going to the store to buy meat and potatoes have to do with Trump? Simply put, the market is betting that Trump&#39;s stimulus plan will lead to more inflation,&rdquo; writes CNN. 

While shoppers may be less thrilled at the prospect of more expensive groceries, CNN reports that if Trump&rsquo;s financial plans put more money in consumer&rsquo;s pockets, they&rsquo;ll be able to afford groceries regardless whether or not prices increase.
