Holland Sentinel: Sylvan Learning Opens Eighth Location in West Michigan

Sylvan Learning has found a new home for its Holland satellite location.

Sylvan Learning* Center is opening a new 1,000-square-foot location in Holland, Michigan's Baker Lofts. The center is the newest of co-owner Sean Tilton's eight current locations across the West Michigan area and will serve as a permanent home for the existing satellite location, providing cutting-edge technology to help students learn.

"We provide robotics and game design classes for kids as young as first grade to build a foundational interest in STEM," Tilton told the Sentinel. "These programs are a lot fun. The robotics uses a lego robotics kit and the students build a robot and then get to control it. Game design is very similar, it uses Minecraft and the students get to bring the game to life."

Sylvan Learning Center focuses on tutoring and helping students get back up to their grade level in subjects ranging from reading, math, algebra, writing and studying. The centers also provide ACT and SAT prep and have group seminars and individual tutoring programs as well.
