Jersey Mike’s Subs celebrates Day of Giving
If you’re feeling like a submarine sandwich is in your future, today would be the day to follow through on your craving.
March 25 marks Jersey Mike’s Subs’ Day of Giving, an initiative where 100 percent of sales from the brand’s subs will be donated to more than 120 charities spread across schools, hospitals, food banks and more. The Day of Giving marks the climax of Jersey Mike’s Subs’ Month of Giving fundraising campaign, the fifth year in a row the franchise has dedicated March to raising money for worthy causes.
Last year’s Month of Giving campaign raised $2.1 million dollars for charities across the country. Naturally, the sub chain hopes to beat that benchmark this year.
“I would like to extend a personal invitation to come in and enjoy a Jersey Mike’s sub [today], our Day of Giving, when 100 percent of sales go to amazing charities throughout the country,” Peter Cancro, Jersey Mike’s founder and CEO, said in a statement. “This year, we hope to raise more than $2.5 million to support local causes, bring hope to all those involved with the charities and make a difference in people’s lives.”
The chain is likely to see an influx of do-gooders today, and when biting into a fresh-sliced sub means doing a good deed, who can blame them?
