Columbia Daily Tribune: Jan-Pro Is Bringing Its First Location to Columbia

Jan-Pro is expanding into Columbia and looking for unit franchise owners to build out the business.

Jan-Pro, a commercial and health care cleaning franchise, is bringing the first location to Columbia this month and is now seeking unit franchise owners to build out the business. The business will be run by master franchise owner Janet Mann who currently owns a location in St. Louis with her husband.

“We’ve been very successful in St. Louis,” Mann said in an interview with the Columbia Daily Tribune.

One of Mann's duties is to oversee training and support for their unit franchise owners, many of which have had little business ownership experience prior to joining Jan-Pro. According to Vice President of Development for the Alpharetta-based brand, Scott Thompson, much of the corporate team's responsibility is also to provide reinforcement and a foundation for success.

“We don’t oversee or manage franchisees,” Thompson said to a reporter at the Columbia Daily Tribune. “It’s their customers. It’s their business.”

The $400 million company targets commercial properties for business such as churches, offices and automobile dealerships, among many others.
