Despite challenges like losing stores in Russia, their systemwide sales grew by almost $20 billion since the start of COVID, with a 25% increase in U.S. comparable sales in 2022. McDonald's offers two types of restaurant purchases: new or existing. The down payments—40% for new restaurants and 25% for existing ones—cannot be sourced from borrowed funds.
