In 2016, Showhomes, the nation’s largest and most successful home staging franchise, set the bar high once again. As the brand enters the New Year, it’s coming off double-digit system-wide revenue growth, the addition of several new franchisees, and an expansion of its service lines—not to mention the most profitable year of operation in the company’s history.

Ask just about any Showhomes franchisee what they love most about the brand and the answer inevitably involves multiple revenue streams the company has developed and the ability to work in the real estate and design industry that they love. Showhomes franchisees can offer clients four distinct services – home manager staging, home staging, home makeovers and home updating – allowing franchise owners to capitalize on multiple income sources to drive bottom line results.

“We’re excited by our sustained growth because it continues to validate that our investment into the brand is resonating with our franchisees and clients alike,” said Showhomes Chief Operating Officer Matt Kelton. “With the real estate market growing again, Showhomes is uniquely positioned to provide a client a wide range of services to maximize the sale of their home.”

Introduced as a new service just over a year ago, home updating allows franchisees to offer renovations such as painting and new flooring to ease the burden of having to deal with multiple contractors while better positioning a home for sale. Showhomes experts assess the individual needs of a home and provide a personalized menu of upgrades utilizing the brand’s customized color palettes and flooring options.

As a home manager, Showhomes moves into and maintains high-end homes while those properties are on the market for sale. The objective is to provide these estates with more of a lived-in feel, enticing potential buyers to envision themselves in the same position. The homes must remain pristine and ready for a showing at all times.

“The key with these services and the others we provide is that we want a home to pop as soon as a potential buyer walks in,” said Kelton. “This means that it is in immaculate condition, but feels like a home so an emotional connection is immediately made with a prospective owner.”

Home staging and home makeovers take the overall look and feel of a home and update it and maintain it throughout the selling process. This allows prospective buyers to see a home in its most desirable form, which ultimately can increase the sale price and drive the process forward.

Furthering its commitment to its franchisees and their clients, Showhomes constantly strives to simplify and streamline operations to maximize results. This allows franchisees to focus on developing their business, servicing their clients and ultimately driving their bottom line. In 2017, Showhomes will continue to target development in markets such as Nashville, Southeast Florida, Los Angeles and Denver, among other regions across the U.S.

One of the most appealing aspects of becoming a Showhomes franchisee, beyond the diversified revenue streams, is its low barrier to entry. Prospective owners can expect their initial investment to range from $45,300 to $78,000. Additionally, franchise candidates can take advantage of a newly launched franchise fee financing program, which will allow prospects to put $5,000 down and finance the remainder of the franchise fee over 48 months.

Existing home staging or interior design businesses can also take 75 percent off their franchisee fee if they convert their business over to the Showhomes model.

“While many independent home stagers or interior designers may not consider franchising as a means of developing their business at first, it really is an ideal way for them to achieve their business goals,” said Kelton. “With Showhomes, they can build their business according to our proven blueprint while leveraging our tremendous back office support and resources needed to take their business to the next level.”
