UK-based fast casual franchise Leon is coming to the United States.

<a href="https://www.fastcasual.com/news/uk-based-leon-launches-in-us/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=fast-casual-uk-based-leon-launches-in-us-2706958" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">According to Fast Casual</a>, the franchise&rsquo;s first U.S. location will open in Washington, D.C. later this summer. The D.C. location will be the brand&rsquo;s 53rd unit globally. All of Leon&rsquo;s existing locations are in the U.K., Norway and the Netherlands.

&ldquo;D.C. is a wonderful city and I can&#39;t wait to begin our American adventure here,&quot; CEO John Vincent said in a press release. &quot;We chose D.C. as our entry point into the U.S. market because of its culturally creative mindset, pedestrian-friendly landscape and foodie-lifestyle. Choosing the first American city is like trying to choose from your favorite box of chocolates. After D.C., we are looking forward to opening in other cities that have a similar culture of dynamism, positivity and possibility.&rdquo;
