Global Fast-Food Chicken Chain Pollo Campero Eyes Denver, Colorado Springs for Expansion
Through store expansion, Pollo Campero aims to bring Central American flavor to the Centennial State.
In an interview with The Denver Post, Pollo Campero’s Director of Franchise Development, Blas Escarcega, discusses expanding the Central American chicken chain to Colorado. Pollo Campero is looking to build at least six locations in the Centennial state by starting in Denver and expanding later to Colorado Springs.
“People want to experience the flavors of the world,” said Escarcega. He is excited about the opportunity in Colorado and says that the “brand has never been stronger than it is now.”
Currently, over 22% of the Colorado population identifies as Hispanic, with El Paso, Denver, Adams and Arapahoe counties each having over 100,000 Latino residents. Pollo Campero started in Guatemala and has over 270 international locations, so expanding into an area with a growing Hispanic population is a natural fit for the chicken chain.
