Free Pizza for No-Hitters
The admired no-hitter game in Major League Baseball has even more perks for Domino’s fans. The franchise brand has announced its #DomiNoNo campaign, which will give fans who register for the promotion a free medium, two-topping Handmade Pan Pizza for carryout every time there is a no-hitter through the end of the MLB season. The offer is open to the first 20,000 fans who sign up.

McDonald’s to Sell All Taiwanese Stores, Expand in China
Fast-food giant McDonald’s will be selling its locations in Taiwan to a franchise operator. This comes as the Golden Arches is looking to expand its franchise business in China in hopes to turn around its fortunes in Asia and cut global costs. McDonald’s typically had corporate locations overseas to oversee quality, but moving to the franchise model will be less costly and eliminate management layers for the Oak Brook, Illinois-based brand.

The Coffee Bean hits 1,000-Store Milestone
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has hit a growth milestone. The brand has opened its one thousandth location worldwide in the brand’s hometown of Los Angeles. The new location on the ground floor of the Wilshire Courtyard office building will serve the brand’s handcrafted beverages, including single-origin coffees, teas and The Original Ice Blended drink.

Brinker Acquires Chili’s Franchisee
In a deal, Brinker International Inc. has acquired Chili’s franchisee Pepper Dining Holding Corp. for $106.5 million. This deal includes 103 Chili’s locations in the Northeast and Southeast U.S. This would make Brinker the franchisee of about a quarter of Chili’s’ 135 domestic franchised restaurants.

Menchie’s Opens 500th Store
Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt is opening its 500th location in Saratoga, New York. The self-serve frozen yogurt franchise will be celebrating the milestone by hosting a seven-day grand opening celebration at the new location. Guests will be able to enjoy a variety of rotating yogurt flavors and toppings to create unlimited combinations.
