U.S. Adds 22,800 Franchise Jobs in August
This August the U.S. economy added 22,800 franchise jobs, which is well below the 12 month average of 27,000 new positions per month. While the job gains are lower than expected, the franchise employment growth rate is still above the overall labor market. Restaurants added the most jobs on an absolute basis in August.

McDonalds to Start Serving All-Day Breakfast in October
That’s right—McDonald’s breakfast fans everywhere will be able to get their favorite Egg McMuffins and other breakfast specialties all day long starting October 6, 2015. This will be the biggest operational change for McDonald’s Corporation in years. The brand has been testing all-day breakfast since March, and the decision to expand the program was just approved by a franchisee vote last week.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Names New CEO
Former Johnny Rockets CEO, John Fuller has been named president and CEO of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. Fuller leaves Johnny Rockets after five years where he has lead the company’s global growth and helped generate record earnings. Right now Fuller is entering the company as the Los Angeles-based chain is making a push into Asia.

Menchie’s Offering Movie-Themed Flavors
Menchie’s is taking a trip to Neverland with their new partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures’ and RatPac-Dune Entertainment’s new movie, PAN. Guests will be able to enjoy September’s flavors which include PAN’s Pixie Dusted Sugar Cookie, Blackbeard’s Neverland Chocolate Chill, Hook’s Jolly Roger Raspberry Tart and Tiger Lily’s Tropical Mango Sorbet.

Einstein Bros. Embracing Autumn with Pumpkin LTOs
This fall, Einstein Bros. Bagels is offering fans new and classic pumpkin flavored items. Guests will be able to enjoy pumpkin bagels, pumpkin shmear, pumpkin muffins, a pumpkin walnut crunch bagel and pumpkin white chocolate cookies. The brand will also introduce a new classic pumpkin latte, white chocolate mocha and Pumpkin Chai. In addition to the fall-inspired dishes, Einstein Bros. will also be introducing two new sandwiches during this time.
