115-Year-Old Italian Restaurant begins Franchising
Ralph’s Italian Restaurant, the oldest Italian restaurant in Philadelphia, will begin franchising for the first time. The 115-year old restaurant’s franchising efforts will be lead by Ryan Rubino, the great great grandson of the original owners. The franchise locations will be called Ralph’s. The brand is looking to begin franchising in western Philadelphia, New Jersey and New York.
 
Johnny Rockets Launches New Fast-Casual Concept
On Wednesday, Johnny Rockets launched a new Millennial-focused fast-casual concept called Jonny’s Burger Factory. The new concept will be a sub-brand of the company and has been created to appeal to consumers with faster service, customization and new technologies. Customers will be able to order at a counter from a touch-screen kiosk and have access to a self-service “sauce bar.”
 
McDonald’s Plans to Aid in Migrant Crisis
The fast food giant, McDonalds has announced it is supporting the U.N. World Food Programme’s response to the migrant crisis in the Europe and the Middle East. Along with DreamWorks Animation, Google, Facebook, Twitter, Cargill, McCain Foods, MasterCard, Burger King and United Airlines to fund advertising campaign to raise donations for the WFP. The ad will run in 38 countries on Monday, the U.N. International Day of Peace.

Arby’s Adds Pumpkin Cheesecake Shake
Arby’s is jumping on the autumnal pumpkin bandwagon. The national chain has launched a new Pumpkin Cheesecake Shake. The new shake features flavor notes of pumpkin spice, cheesecake and piecrust and is topped with whipped cream. The Pumpkin Cheesecake Shake will be available through the end of 2015.

Moe’s Southwest Adds Smokin’ Chicken Burrito
Moe’s Southwest Grill introduced the new Smokin’ Chicken Burrito Bowl as a limited-time offer. The new bowl features smoked jalapeno and honey-glazed all-natural chicken with Southwestern rice, black beans, pico de gallo, shredded cheese, sour cream and guacamole. The product received positive consumer feedback when it was tested.
