Subway is Going Cage-Free
Subway is the latest chain to announce it will stop using cage-free eggs in their locations by 2025. This is the latest chain to announce the change based on pressure from consumers and animal-rights groups. The sandwich franchise already uses cage-free eggs in the brands European outlets, and they have started going cage-free in select locations in the U.S. and Canada.


California Pizza Kitchen Partners with Make-A-Wish, Round It Up America
Donating just got easier at California Pizza Kitchen. CPK has announced its national partnership with Make-A-Wish and the Round It Up America program. The program is available at nearly 200 locations across the country. Guests can now round up their bills to the nearest dollar, or enter a specific amount, to help support Make-A-Wish. In addition, the company will also donate a small percentage of funds raised from Round It Up America to support ProStart, a nationwide two-year high school program.


Arby’s Curly Fries Are Getting an Upgrade
Fans of the fast-food chain Arby’s will be able to enjoy the famous curly fries with a new twist. The brand is adding the new Loaded Curly Fries to the menu. The Loaded Curly Fries are topped with Cheddar cheese sauce, shredded Cheddar, chopped pepper bacon and Parmesan peppercorn ranch sauce. The new fries will be available from December 28 to mid-February.


Famous Dave’s Names New CEO
Adam Wright has been named CEO of Famous Dave’s of America Inc. Wright has served as the interim CEO since June when former CEO Ed Rensi stepped down. Wright has been with the Minneapolis-based casual-dining operator since 2013 when he won a board seat.

 
Papa John’s Offers BOGO Pizza Deal
Starting on Jan. 31, 2016, Papa John’s will offer customers who purchase a large pizza at regular menu price, an opportunity to purchase another large one-topping pizza of equal or lesser value for $.50 more. In addition to the new Buy-One-Get-One deal, the pizza chain has also introduced a new dessert—the Brookie. The Brookie is a chocolate brownie based with a warm chocolate chip cookie.
