<a href="http://www.franchise.org/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=1851-on-the-road-an-interview-with-aziz-hashim-of-nrd-capital-10000" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">During IFA 2017</a> in Las Vegas, 1851 Franchise Publisher Nick Powills sat down with outgoing IFA Chairman and Founder of&nbsp;<a href="http://www.nrdcapital.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=1851-on-the-road-an-interview-with-aziz-hashim-of-nrd-capital-10000" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">NRD Capital</a>&nbsp;Aziz Hashim to discuss his greatest accomplishments from the past year. Hashim&rsquo;s mission was to build and broadcast the franchise industry&rsquo;s narrative. And now, even as Hashim&rsquo;s time as chairman comes to an end, it&rsquo;s clear that that story is just beginning.

&ldquo;I&rsquo;m proud of the work done over the past year. We made such a concerted effort to address the biggest threat to the franchise industry today&mdash;and that&rsquo;s the fact that it&rsquo;s under attack and being threatened by misconceptions. We identified that ignorance is the cause, and that&rsquo;s 90 percent of the battle. Understanding the root cause enables us to find a solution,&rdquo; Hashim said. &ldquo;Now, it&rsquo;s about education. We need to correct that fundamental misunderstanding.&rdquo; &nbsp;
