It’s no secret that opening your own business requires a significant investment. For those looking to go into franchising, take note: Some brands require a minimum net worth and liquidity of upwards of $500,000 just for an application to be considered. While this sizable cost does often come with a good ROI, it may not be feasible for some prospective franchisees. If you’re in the market for a franchise opportunity that requires an initial investment on the smaller side, 1851 compiled a list of brands with a minimum initial investment of less than $100,000, according to Franchise Business Review data

1. Right at Home*: $80,150 minimum investment

Founded in 1995, Right at Home provides home care services to seniors and those with disabilities to deliver a better quality of life. Currently, the brand is located in eight countries with over 600 locations, and has market availability in over 200 additional markets domestically.

2. Mosquito Joe*: $95,600 minimum investment

Mosquito Joe has emerged as an industry leader by providing services that make enjoying the outdoors fun and safe for families by eliminating the danger of mosquitoes, ticks and fleas. The brand currently has 153 franchise locations and is looking to expand into more markets. 

3. MaidPro: $74,560 minimum investment

Ranked as the top maid service for low-cost and home-based cleaning by Entrepreneur Magazine, MaidPro prides itself on its unique approach to both business and franchising. The brand has quickly grown to more than 185 locations across the U.S. and Canada and is continuing to expand to even more markets.

4. Sandler Training: $97,525 minimum investment

Business coaching was recognized as one of the hottest trends in franchising by Entrepreneur Magazine, and Sandler Training is looking to capitalize on this fast-growing market. With a global network of sales and management trainers in over 25 countries, Sandler Training franchisees benefit from a well-established system of support. 

5. Soccer Shots: $41,034 minimum investment

As a leader in the youth soccer development space for children 2 through 8 years old, Soccer Shots prides itself on its low-cost/high-profit margin business model. The brand currently operates in over 100 markets across the U.S. and Canada. 

6. Fibrenew: $75,000 minimum investment

Fibrenew handles the restoration of leather, plastic and vinyl, working to repair seating in the automotive, marine, commercial, medical and residential industries. The service brand has over 240 franchise locations across the world. 

7. College H.U.N.K.S Hauling Junk & Moving: $89,300 minimum investment

Since its founding in 2004, College Hunks Hauling Junk & Moving has grown to over 100 franchised locations. With no retail space and just a fleet of trucks and a team needed for business, it’s no wonder this brand has grown while maintaining an investment on the lower end of the spectrum. 

8. Critter Control: $47,500 minimum investment

Homeowners, businesses and municipalities often seek out professionals to help protect their property from nuisance animals. Critter Control is an industry leader; as a growing brand, it currently has 83 locations and is looking to further expand across the U.S.
