BooXkeeping

For Alexis Rodriguez, entrepreneurship meant creating something lasting for her family while helping fellow small business owners in one of Texas' fastest-growing cities. After years of working in accounting and finance for major corporations, Rodriguez knew she wanted more control over her future. Rather than continuing down a traditional corporate career path, she decided to build a business of her own. That journey ultimately led her to BooXkeeping, the nation's leading bookkeeping franchise."I worked for a lot of larger corporations, and you aren't going to get more than what they are willing to give you," Rodriguez said. "So, I decided to open up my own business."Born and raised in San Antonio, Rodriguez recently returned home after spending nearly a decade away. Throughout her career, she gained extensive experience in accounting and finance, serving as an assistant controller at Aramark and later as a finance manager at House of Blues in Houston. Along the way, she also provided bookkeeping services on the side, giving her firsthand exposure to the challenges many small business owners face. When it came time to launch her own venture, Rodriguez weighed the option of starting independently against joining an established franchise system like BooXkeeping."Why reinvent the wheel when the franchise has everything for us?" Rodriguez said. "It has all the support that larger corporations offer as well, so that is what really intrigued me about it."While she was eager to become a business owner, Rodriguez also recognized the value of having proven systems, technology and operational support already in place. Instead of spending years developing processes and building credibility from scratch, Rodriguez saw an opportunity to leverage a proven model while focusing her energy on serving clients and growing the business. For someone with a strong financial background, the franchise model offered the best of both worlds: independence and infrastructure.Looking ahead, Rodriguez believes San Antonio is uniquely positioned for bookkeeping. "There are a lot of small businesses, which we gear towards," she said. "San Antonio is growing and there is a great entrepreneurial spirit here as well. I've worked in so many different industries, and often people don't understand what a balance sheet or a P&L is. We have a lot of businesses that can benefit from our help."While Rodriguez is excited about the immediate opportunity in San Antonio, her long-term vision extends far beyond her first few years in business."My younger brother is going to be helping out getting the business going as well," Rodriguez said. "I am hoping to get it to a stable amount where I don't need my regular 9-to-5 job and my brother can have something lucrative for himself. Maybe my young child can join one day as well."For Rodriguez, that vision represents the real promise of entrepreneurship. "It's about making something that lasts," she said. With deep roots in San Antonio, years of accounting and finance experience, and the support of the BooXkeeping system behind her, Rodriguez is well-positioned to help local business owners gain financial clarity while building a lasting family business of her own.To learn more about franchise opportunities with BooXkeeping, visit https://1851franchise.com/booxkeeping.

DENVER — After spending more than two decades helping businesses make smarter decisions through data and analytics, Beau Redstone is embarking on a new entrepreneurial journey. As the newest franchise owner with BooXkeeping, the fast-growing bookkeeping concept, Redstone is bringing the brand's outsourced bookkeeping services to Northern Colorado, helping small and medium-sized businesses gain financial clarity without the expense of hiring full-time, in-house staff. For most of his career, Redstone worked in the beverage and alcohol industry, building expertise in analytics, software and business intelligence."All of my professional career, I've done data and analytics in the beverage and alcohol industry," Redstone said. “I started out in the wine business in Napa Valley, and then we became a global company and did a lot of travel. Around 2012, one of my former coworkers started a company and I stayed at that startup for 15 years. Private equity bought us right near the end of COVID. The environment changed significantly, and it was about four years into that tenure that we started talking about making a change.”That conversation ultimately led Redstone and his wife, a vice president of finance with an accounting background, to franchise ownership. While exploring opportunities, Redstone evaluated several business models, from retail to shipping. BooXkeeping quickly stood out because of its low-overhead, service-based model and the chance to leverage relationships he had already built in the local business community."In the startup world, I got pretty used to doing work that wasn't quite as structured as corporate work, so business ownership felt like a natural next step," he said. “We started looking at franchise opportunities, but the financing required for an inventory-based business or brick-and-mortar business was a lot. We've been in this community for over eight years, and I know many businesses and referral companies that could benefit from better bookkeeping. So, we decided to go with BooXkeeping.”Redstone was equally impressed by the franchise's established support system. “I have to do certain things to keep the business running, but the infrastructure is already in place,” he said. “They have an accounting system and all of the technical tools that I need. There's a deep-dive training program, sales coaching, executive coaching and a lot of people I have access to. It's also a small enough company where I can have a direct impact on the culture and really fit in.”BooXkeeping specializes exclusively in bookkeeping services, helping businesses stay financially organized year-round through monthly reporting, catch-up bookkeeping and ongoing financial management.Redstone believes that focus fills a significant need throughout Northern Colorado's business community. "Every community is in need of bookkeeping," he said. “A solo bookkeeper isn't going to have a whole lot of opportunity to do marketing and PR. There is a brand here that I can market, and they're helping to market it as well.”Over the next year, Redstone plans to build a client base of approximately 30 to 40 small and medium-sized businesses by offering competitive pricing and delivering insights that extend beyond balancing the books."My entire career has been about presenting accurate data to businesspeople," Redstone said. “I also have a lot of skills for data analysis and can help provide insights into how to run the business better.”Outside of work, Redstone has become deeply involved in the Northern Colorado community through youth athletics, further strengthening the relationships he hopes will help grow his business. "I'm heavily involved in the swim community here," he said. “I have a young daughter, and I support the club as a volunteer and also have an officiating certification through USA Swimming. I’ve been involved in the community long enough that I feel I bring a unique perspective to businesses here.”As he establishes BooXkeeping throughout Northern Colorado, Redstone looks forward to becoming a trusted financial resource for local entrepreneurs."We are thrilled to announce our expansion into Northern Colorado and are beyond excited to welcome Beau as our newest franchise owner," said Max Emma, founder and CEO of BooXkeeping. “The market has tremendous demand for affordable, professional bookkeeping services, and Beau's background in business analytics, combined with his strong ties to the local community, makes him an outstanding fit to serve business owners throughout the region.”ABOUT BOOXKEEPINGBooXkeeping is a bookkeeping franchise that combines professional expertise with genuine human connection to provide cutting-edge bookkeeping services for small and medium-sized businesses, franchisees, franchisors, CPA firms and more.
